I am honored to officially announce my candidacy for West Sacramento City Council. West Sacramento is a city built on hard work, strong neighborhoods, and a community that looks out for one another, and I am stepping forward to serve the city I love.
As a former school board trustee and current planning commissioner, I've listened to residents, worked through tough decisions, and helped shape our community's future. Our city is entering an exciting new chapter. Growth is coming, and it has to work for everyone.
I'm running to put West Sacramento first: by supporting public safety, investing in infrastructure, creating opportunities for local workers and small businesses, and planning responsibly for housing that keeps our neighborhoods vibrant. My commitment is simple: listen first, lead with integrity, and bring people together to build a safer, stronger, more prosperous West Sacramento.

Practical, Accountable Leadership
Preston is running for City Council to bring practical, accountable leadership to City Hall. His priorities include repairing roads and modernizing infrastructure, investing in public safety, expanding housing that working families can afford, supporting local businesses, and ensuring that growth benefits the people who already call West Sacramento home.
Throughout his life, Preston has learned that leadership is not about speeches or recognition. It is about preparation, teamwork, accountability, and doing the work when people are counting on you. That is the leadership he has brought to the classroom, the playing field, the school board, and the Planning Commission, and it is the leadership he will bring to the West Sacramento City Council.
